I need to know who speaks at our wedding and some free samples please?
May 6, 2010
We have no parents to speak at our wedding just our attendants i.e. maid of honor, best man, 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsman. We also have a master of ceremonies. I would like some suggestions as to who speaks and when and what they should be saying. We are not having a sit down dinner. A buffett later. We would still like to have the tradional head table and speeches. Can you help me with this. Thank you.
Your priest, minister, or rabbi speak and your best man may offer a toast. But for the most part, no speeches are required.

No one speaks at your wedding but the one officiating like the priest or minister or justice or whatever. At the reception the Best Man makes a toast and then anyone who wants to can make say something but there are no formal speeches. Where did yo get that idea from? You need to go sit down with the person who is performing your wedding and ask them about the ceremony if you have these kinds of questions.

I too am planning a wedding. Ours is a non-religious ceremony, which usually is super short, so we’re lengthening it by having 2 short readings during the actual ceremony. I have chosen a bridesmaid (whose wedding I read during), and a groomsman with a good speaking voice to do these honors. Additionally, the maid of honor and the best man will give a speech/toast during the reception dinner. You can find religious readings anywhere online, or if you’re opting for non-religious, you can find a favorite love poem online as well. (Some people write their own). Good luck!
